چکیده

The application of ultrasound and acoustic cavitation in liquid exfoliation bulk layered materials is a widely used method. However, despite extensive research, the fundamental mechanisms remain far from being fully understood. A number theories have been proposed to interpret interactions between hence explain assisted exfoliation. Unfortunately, most research reported date ambiguous or inconclusive due lack direct real-time experimental evidence. In this paper, we report systematic work characterising emissions observing graphite situ, deionised water under dynamic interaction with laser induced bubbles. Using ultra-high-speed optical imaging, were able determine sequence events on time scale never before. Real-time observations also revealed that shock waves pressure magnitude up 5 MPa liquid-jets range 80 ms?1, transient bubble implosions, essential for initiation propagation process. On other hand, oscillations associated stable beneficial promoting gentler delamination layers.

New Insights Into Mechanisms

Obesity is strongly associated with hypertension and cardiovascular disease. Several central and peripheral abnormalities that can explain the development or maintenance of high arterial pressure in obesity have been identified. These include activation of the sympathetic nervous system and the renin-angiotensin–aldosterone system. Obesity is also associated with endothelial dysfunction and ren...

O-28: New Insights into the Mechanisms UnderlyingChlamydia Trachomatis Infection InducedFemale Infertility

Background: Chlamydia (C.) trachomatis is an obligate intracellular gram-negative pathogen affecting over 600 million people worldwide with 92 million new cases occurring globally each year. Genital C. trachomatis infection has been recognized as the most common cause of pelvic inflammatory disease leading to severe tubal damage, ectopic pregnancy, hydrosalpinx and infertility. However, the mec...

High Cholesterol Deteriorates Bone Health: New Insights into Molecular Mechanisms

Many epidemiological studies show a positive connection between cardiovascular diseases and risk of osteoporosis, suggesting a role of hyperlipidemia and/or hypercholesterolemia in regulating osteoporosis. The majority of the studies indicated a correlation between high cholesterol and high LDL-cholesterol level with low bone mineral density, a strong predictor of osteoporosis. Similarly, bone ...

Nephrocalcinosis: new insights into mechanisms and consequences.

The most common form of renal stone disease, calcium nephrolithiasis, is defined as the presentation of a macroscopic concrement of inorganic (calcium phosphate and/or calcium phosphate) and organic material in the renal calyces and/or pelvis, either adhered to the papillae or pelvic urothelium or not. In search of the mechanism underlying calcium nephrolithiasis, in vitro and in vivo studies a...

New insights into mechanisms of hypertension.

DOI:10.1097/MNH.0b013e328350a50f Hypertension and its consequences contribute significantly to worldwide morbidity and mortality. Hypertension is the major cause of stroke, kidney disease and cardiac failure in the western world and it is predicted that by 2025 the number of adults with hypertension will increase by 60% [1–3]. This is attributed, in part, to the growing problem of associated ri...
